This majestic tigress cooly cam in front of our jeep & then walked past majestically to disappear into the forest. 



She made our day!

Another impressive mammal of the Central Indian forests is the Gaur or Inidan Bison. Came across this family soon after the Tigress. You can imagine our up-beat mood!

After seeing these photos, you may like to experience the place for yourself. Tadoba is 25 kms from the nearest railhead - Chandrapur and 220 kms from the nearest airport Nagpur. Area is 625 sq. Kms. MTDC resort at Moharli gate is a good place to stay with comfortable cottages - some of them overlooking a large wetland.
